Modelling Ming Pin Tien’s SS13 Collection a couple of weeks back at Studio 2.13, Seven Sisters. Amazing pieces, and brilliantly creative team.

London life is growing on me day by day, late night walks around Piccadilly and along the canal remind me why I moved here in the first place. You just can’t beat the atmosphere, there is SO much here.

Can’t wait to lift this blog off the ground properly. Have a back log of posts prepared so keep a look out.

The Big City

So I have been living in London for three weeks now. What a contrast to the laid back lifestyle of the country side - so many people in a hurry to get where they need to be. People look at me strangely when I smile at them on the tube… do people not do that here?!

London can feel like a lonely place even though you are surrounded by so many people, and although I miss my family like crazy, I’ve met some cool people. Thank the heavens that my house mates are all sound. Always a bit of a risk when you put your self forward for a house share (I have 12 house mates).

I’ve been picking up promo work here and there to fill in the gaps between modelling shoots. I’m finding the last-minute-bookings style in the promo world very stressful as I never know when/if I will have a job that week, and all of a sudden I have to spend my money on things like food and rent??? An established contacts list is clearly key, it’s all about the power of networking…

So last weekend was my first promotional model job; I was a Formula 1 Santander Grid Girl at the Grand Prix in Silverstone. What an experience; all the girls were lovely. It was hard work (lots of standing around in heels and long hours) but I felt so lucky to be there. I can’t wait to get more promo jobs in London. Moving date: Monday 8th July
